STEM Coaches serve at Afterschool and Summer Learning programs, where they provide hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and other educational activities to elementary age students.
STEM Coaches may serve for a summer, a semester, or an entire year. Part-time and full-time opportunities are available statewide, and no prior experience in STEM or childhood development is necessary to apply!

The Alaska Afterschool Network AmeriCorps program major funders are Serve Alaska, STEM Next Million Girl Moonshot and America's Service Commission. Serve Alaska helps bring AmeriCorps programs to Alaska.
Funding for this work is provided by America’s Service Commissions and the Mott Foundation.
The Million Girl Moonshot is a nationwide initiative to engage 1 million girls in afterschool and summer STEM learning to change the trajectory of girls in STEM.
